Immaginario Scientifico

Friuli Venezia Giulia Museum of interactive and experimental science

Immaginario Scientifico is the interactive and experimental science museum of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The centre is of the type of “new generation museums”- the science centres typical of the English-speaking world- and makes use of display techniques typical of interactive museums and is also strongly committed to the sharing and participation of science with general public. IS is a public space inspired by the principles of “edutainment” (education + entertainment), but it is also a centre with a high educational content for school groups. The structure presents itself to the visitor with open and friendly spaces, for quality free time, and to schools, as a partner in the training of young generations.

In addition to the everyday display activities, IS proposes events for the public, organised also in collaboration with other scientific institutions, and participates in national and international programmes and projects.
